What is the Kikiyomi platform?

Kikiyomi is an immersive platform that combines reading and listening, offering audiobooks of great literary works in formats designed for a complete and interactive reading experience. It’s ideal for those looking to explore literature through immersive reading or those seeking an original way to improve their language skills.

How does your product work?

Once you subscribe, you gain access to a library of audiobooks that you can listen to and read simultaneously. Each book is structured into chapters, allowing you to follow at your own pace, with the option to consult definitions for difficult words and translations based on your language. How do I listen?

Listening on Kikiyomi is intuitive: select a book from our library, add it to your personal space, then access the desired chapter to start the audio. Our player lets you adjust the speed to suit your level, while the text scrolls automatically for smooth reading.


You can enjoy your books from the browser of your choice or via a shortcut saved on your phone or computer.

Where can I listen?

You can access Kikiyomi from any internet-connected device: computer, tablet, or smartphone. A connection is required to stream books.

What books are available in the Kikiyomi library?

We offer the greatest classics of literature, in the public domain, including tales, poems, short stories, and novels.

Are there advertisements?

No, Kikiyomi is entirely ad-free to provide a smooth and uninterrupted reading and listening experience.

Is Kikiyomi an app?

No, Kikiyomi is not an app but an online platform. However, we plan to launch an app in the near future.

Will the platform evolve?

Yes, the platform is still under development. We will continue improving it to create the best interface for you. Please report any issues or errors you encounter.

How to contact customer service?

Visit our Contact page. Our offices are open Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM (GMT+1 - Paris time). We are committed to responding to you within 48 hours, excluding weekends and public holidays.

What subscription options are available?

There are two non-binding subscription options on Kikiyomi: 1 month or 12 months.

What are the prices?

You can find detailed pricing on the dedicated page. Exceptionally, for the platform's launch, we are offering (very) advantageous rates to the first founding members. See the Pricing page.

Will I keep the same price as long as I remain a customer?

Yes. As a loyal subscriber who has signed up for a 1-year plan, you are guaranteed to keep the same price, even if our offers evolve, as long as your subscription remains active without interruption.


For non-binding monthly subscriptions, the price at the time of registration is maintained for the first 12 months only.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes, we offer a 7-day free trial to explore all of Kikiyomi's features and available books. You can explore the library, test audiobooks, and experience our immersive literary experience without commitment. You can cancel your free trial at any time.

Do I need to add a payment method to enjoy the free trial?

Yes, adding a payment method is necessary to activate your subscription, even if you’re enjoying the free trial. This ensures a smooth transition to your full subscription once the trial ends. Additionally, it secures the price displayed at the time of your registration, allowing you to benefit from an advantageous rate even if it changes during your free trial week. No amount will be charged if you cancel before the trial period ends.

Do you allow refunds?

You have a 7-day free trial before your subscription payment is processed. If, after this payment, you decide to cancel your subscription within the next 14 days and have not started listening to a book, we will refund you in full. This withdrawal period is not an extension of your free trial but rather an additional reflection period before resuming use of the Kikiyomi platform.


To exercise this right, please contact our customer service by writing to billing@kikiyomi.com.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription from your account by clicking on Settings and then on Manage My Subscriptions. Simply click on the three dots, then select “Cancel Subscription.” A popup will appear to confirm your cancellation. Click "Confirm."

Important: Cancellation will take effect on the next payment date, not immediately.

What happens if my payment fails?

If you attempt to subscribe or have a subscription with multiple payments, a payment failure may occur. Our system will make a second attempt seven (7) days after the first attempt. If a new failure is detected, a third attempt will be made after another seven (7) days. If this also fails, a fourth and final attempt will be made seven (7) days later before the subscription is automatically canceled.


Important: The interval between each payment attempt is 7 days for card payments and 5 days via PayPal.

Can I gift a subscription?

This option will be available soon.

How do I create an account?

Simply click on the "Get Started" button to create your account, select your subscription, and begin your immersive reading experience.

How do I add a book to my account?

Once your account is created, you’ll receive a link to the Kikiyomi library. Simply add the book(s) you want to read by clicking the "Add this book" button that appears when you click on or hover over the book’s cover.

I forgot my password. How can I log in?

If you forgot your password, go to the Login page and click "Forgot your password?" Enter the email address associated with your account and click "Reset password."

COLLABORATION

How can I work with Kikiyomi?

You can send us an unsolicited application via the Collaborators tab on the Contact page.

Do you offer partnerships?

We currently don’t have any partners, but we’d be happy to hear about your partnership project if you’d like to collaborate with us. You can contact us directly via the Partnerships tab on the Contact page.

Can I lend my voice to the books available on Kikiyomi?

We are not looking for new narrators at the moment.

Can I submit my own book for the Kikiyomi library?

We aim to grow our library and include contemporary books. We would be delighted to receive your submission and discover your book, with the potential of adding it to our collection.


We accept short novels (less than 200 pages), fairy tales, short stories, children’s books, comics, poetry, and self-help books. Please note that we do not accept erotic books or Dark Romance.


If you’d like your book to appear in the Kikiyomi library, you can send us a summary along with the number of pages via the Collaborators tab on the Contact page.

Do you organize competitions?

Yes, we host several competitions throughout the year. Stay updated by signing up for our newsletter or following us on social media.
